Who follows this notice
Somni connects you to independent, licensed healthcare providers for at-home sleep testing and physician review. Those providers are covered entities under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This Notice describes how those providers, and Somni acting on their behalf as a business associate, may use and disclose your protected health information (PHI).
How we may use and disclose your PHI
We may use and disclose your PHI for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations as permitted by HIPAA. We may also use or disclose your PHI when required by law, for public health activities, to avert a serious threat to health or safety, and in other limited circumstances permitted or required by law.
